Chevron V8

Was doing a job here in hamilton on friday when i happened to look over at the compliance workshop over the road
and what do you know ..there was a v8 7 sitting there...so over i go and start talking to the owner..he tells me it was 1 of only 2 v8 chevrons built
his one is powered by a leyland p76 and auto ..it has torana front end falcon brakes..he had A framed it all the way from Whitianga..i told him about these forums so maybe he will appear here at some time

i may be wrong but i think he said factory built cars the other one was a rover v8..yeah ive seen at least 1 other
it also had 12 slot chrome falcon GT wheels and he had just taken the chrome lake pipes off for a quieter single system to pass the compliance
kinda a cross between a cobra and a 7 ?..sounded awesome

I have now driven a couple of Rover V8 McGregor 7s and have too say was impressed with the way they went and of course the way it sounded, if I could own 2 lotus 7s at the same time one would defiantly be a V8.
