Hi guys,
I have just joined the forum. Looks like a place for good info. I recently purchased a Steelbro Mk4. Trying to find out some info about its history. Compliance plate says Super Seven Mk4/72. The “72” is stamped. Seems a bit different to other Steelbro compliance numbers I have seen in photos???

Sounds like someone potentially made up their own plate as that doesn't fit the Steel Brothers format at all. They also weren't making 7s in 1972 so it can't be the year. It might be that someone was trying to get eligibility for it for classic racing as the Steel Brothers 7s were shut out in Aus for a while.... Post some pictures of the car, it'll be obvious if it is one of the earlier cars or one of the later ones.

Here are a couple of pics of the my car. Still not having much luck finding out more about its history in NZ. I tried calling Steelbro, but they said no one still works there that knows anything about the Sevens.
