Recommended/Be warned of this business section

Post by Rookie » Fri Jul 31, 2009 9:41 am

Hey guys

As I'm sure you are all well aware that some businesses provide better/cheaper/awesome services, and it occasionally takes a while to find the right place, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a place that lets others know of your experiences, and possibly save someone else grief?!?!

Cheers Dave

I was thinking we could put it in either the tech section or general discussion?

Robyn and the team are one of the more trusted dyno people in my book - they have the expertise to tune a car without breaking it
i will agree to that , but be warned, their not the most reasonably priced shop around.

Do we want a new section for this before it gets any bigger or should we just move it to a section all ready setup ??

I think we should start a new section now, and posts should have a structured layout ie what the company does, who they are, and personal experiences that made you say yay or nay. I know it could be a bit of work but I think that there should be no personal grievances posted (shit talking is never constructive) and only posts that have genuine reasons for being there. sound good? I'm just throwing things out there. also there could be two posts in the section the good and the bad, so if you are looking for something you can just search the good post etc. ie I need some new tyres, so search the good post for "tyres" and it should come up with a list of recommended places, is there logic behind my thinking?

Sounds good to me, maybe just a sticky topic in the general 7's area so its always at the top.

Having a bad business topic would be ok, have to make sure it doesn't get personal etc

problem is if you get ripped off it dose become personal, i personaly have been ripped by a few so called experts in there feild while building Monty and it cost not only a lot of money but also a lot of precious time, so how dose one warn other people with out relating to personal experience. or would you rather i just sit on the fence and watch some other poor sod get done for a bucket of money they cant afford.

I would prefer to hear about these experiences both good and bad.

Perhaps these experiences could be related to limit the emotive writing and focus purely on the factual part of the experience(s).

This way judgment could be left to the reader

Over time the variety of feedback would build a picture of a supplier similar to the trademe feedback.

It would be cool to have individual supplier feedback in the same location. Not sure how that would work.
