Found this gem on my work rounds today.
workshop used genuine parts which failed almost straight away, The manufacturer was good enough to supply a replacement engine for the customer.

Ill get the ball rolling with something mundane. "honestly I was just driving along and there was a slight tick so I thought I should bring it to get the tappets reset"

So, we had to take the sump off, to take out the Pistons, to change the spark plugs, and we found this instead.........

Should have used Valveoline oil.

If that let go at 6,000 rpm it would have bounced of the head 100 times every second. You wouldn't want to put your finger in there!
