Update:
- 4D systems screen: DOG SLOW and pretty much unusable for my purpose. The Cheap Chinese Nextion screen is fast enough but not as good in sunlight
- Ordered new Stone LCD HMI screen. Has arrived but no chance to test yet
- Another event with original Nextion screen with better sun cover (painted black on the inside). Worked REALLY well. May be good enough to stick with it!
- Ate the front right wheel sensor again
- Smashed windscreen
- 16x4 IR temp array sensor arrived and just tonight got that working as a test to make sure I can read it in a reasonable timeframe...

Looks so incredibly cool I'll probably replace the existing units with one of these on each tyre. This way the mounting is MUCH easier and the sensors will work for different width tyres without being rotated (co change the lateral distance between the 3 sensors). I'll also be able to calibrate (in software) the spread to account for imperfect mounting positions.

Oh, expecting my CNC machine to arrive any day now so will no doubt be distracted by that for a while :-)

Cheers - N

That's very cool Neil.

Fit it to the truck and bring it out on Sunday!

I may actually be using the small car on Sunday :-)

But I am removing the electronics for the grass events.
