Results of yesterdays dyno and setup...

Image

Still slightly over rich at idle but in order to fix this means work on progression holes so it'll be a carbs off..
much more responsive on acceleration now though so can't be bad :D

I need to do a dyno run and tune up my carbs. Do you recommend these guys? Do they know much about webers and old engines? What did it cost you to get it tuned? (pm me if you dont want to post here)

I'd recommend them. Bob's been in the business for about forty years so hes worked on a lot of engines. Really knowledgeable guy. I ended up being there for a few hours so may be worth dropping the car off to them rather than hanging around.

They prefer taking the mixture reading off a lambda sensor rather than shoving a probe up the end of the exhaust, so i now have a blanking screw on the exhaust for future tune ups.

Been a busy time with the Fraser, Clocked up over 300km so far. Went out for a run up to Warkworth with the fraser club for a spot of lunch, and as the weathers been so nice i've been using her as my daily this week into Auckland for work.

Been getting toots and waves from lots of people, from Elans to Mustangs , MX5's and everything in between. Awesome!

Got the front number plate fixing from Frasers this week so i could finally mount it properly :D
Couple of spot checks around the car, and theres been a couple of nuts to tighten back up. Winter job list is growing already

Went out and purchased a helmet ready for track day at Taupo. But next weekend is Cannonball run so got some preparations to make.

Saturday just gone saw us enter the Cannonball Run. it was a great, fun if long day out. We ended up driving from Ardmore just South of Auckland
out to Thames, Coromandel Town, Whitianga, back to Thames then up via the Hunuas to Clevedon finishing up at Formosa Country Club in Beachlands.
All up a 200Km approx drive with stops for missions and photo's.
